Gmail asked me to solve mathematical problems

Few months back I composed mail using Gmail at midnight 11.00 PM. When I clicked Send button, 

Gmail asked me few simple mathematical problems. I am more interested to solve mathematical problems.I had just answered correctly. My mail had been sent. 

I tried second time with wrong answers, but Gmail asked me few other similar problems. Gmail allows the composed mail to be sent after giving correct answers.

When I send mail to the same friend next day morning, Gmail didn’t ask me the same questions. I had a 

question in my mind “Why Gmail is asking me mathematical problems only at night time?”

I never made effort to know answer for this question rather I assumed it’s for security reason.

Again Last week I used Gmail at late night. Gmail prompted the same kind of mathematical problems when I clicked send button. This time I want to go beyond my thinking and eager to know the answer for my long-lasting question. I got to know this is a Gmail Lab feature. This feature name is,

Mail Goggles:

In default this feature will be shown only on weekend “Friday” and “Saturday” from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM.

We can change the day and time of this feature in ‘General’ tab in Settings.

Default 'Reply to all':

In default Gmail’s reply button replies only to the sender of the mail. If you want to send reply to all the recipients’ mail ids including those presented in CC. You can choose this feature.

Undo Send:

This is an interesting feature. I feel most of us need this feature. Within a few second after we pressed send button we think we made a mistake. But our mail would have gone. If we enable this feature Gmail will prompt us an option to do undo. This feature is disabled in default. We need to enable this feature in Gmail Labs.

Custom Keyboard shortcuts:

By enabling this feature, we can create our own shortcut for Gmail. After enabling this feature we can create shortcuts in “Mail Settings” --> “Keyboard Shortcuts” link.

Assembly elections are coming. How many of us know who are the candidates contesting in our constituency other than two or three main candidates?

This is the second time I am going to cast my vote. Previously when I voted in Lok sabha elections,I got to know list of candidates who are contesting in my constituency only on the election day after going to Polling station.One pathetic news is, before knowing the full list of candidates, I have chosen whom to vote from the list of known candidates.

So this time I planned to know about the list of candidates before election days.Now a days most of the information available in internet.So I started browsing. I got the list from   http://www.elections.tn.gov.in/Form7A2011.htm .

The list is categorized by Districts.I clicked the link for my district,I got the list of candidates for all constituencies from my district. I chosen to see my constituency from the opened PDF.

Moreover I got to know Affidavits filled by each candidates by clicking the link, Affidavits filled by Candidates. This includes income and other details of each candiates.

Don't you know whether your name is there in electoral list or not? You can verify that too by choosing your district and constituency by clicking this link Verify your name in Electoral list.

Moreover, I have the list of candidates for my constituency in my hand. Now I have to decide to whom can I vote? I feel casting vote is important.Yes, I can decide my leader by casting my vote.

My suggestion to each and every one of us is, please consider the election day as a your family function day and plan your schedule to cast your vote. Your single vote can make a huge difference to our nation.

 

Why to follow any one in Twitter?

      Now a days if I visit any website, there is a button saying "Follow us in twitter". I had a question "Why I should follow them in twitter?" Like some of my friends, I too felt its waste of time following any one or any product in twitter.

      I had an another question,"Am I against twitter?". I am not against twitter or any one following twitter.Then why should I think,using of twitter is waste of time?

      I decided to follow few products which I am interested and related to my daily life in Twitter.My daily life is dependent on "Microsoft Windows", a single product which I am using most of the time in my daily life.

      I started following Microsoft,Windows and Bill gates. With in a minute I got lot of updates from them. Latest updates I came to know from Microsoft twitter pages are "Microsoft suggesting to stop using Internet Explorer 6", "IE 9 Set to release" which are useful information for me.

      As per my understanding goes, If we start using twitter effectively by following what is related to us, "Twitter is a single place where we get plenty of information about what we like and what we need".

     My house is in JP Nagar 7th phase Bangaluru ; I want to go to Bull Temple in Bangaluru. 

     Google maps suggested me 2 places which matches with my search “Bull Temple”. 

     I have selected 2nd suggested option. It suggested me 3 routes to reach the place, and I have option to choose whether I want to go by my own vehicle or public Transport. I have chosen "Car image" which means by my own vehicle.

Driving Directions:

     I decided to use the 2^nd suggested route via Kanakapura road. But Still I don’t know the route clearly. 

     Google maps told me that, don’t worry; I am here to help you.Yes I selected my route and scrolled down, Wow, now I came to know how smart Google maps is. I got step by step Driving directions to Bull temple from my house. I and my friend traveled to Bull temple from our house through the way suggested by Google maps last week by bike.

          

     One of our colleagues asked us how to reach Bull temple from JP Nagar by bus. I suggested Google maps to him. Yes he can choose public medium ("Bus Symbol") and then get the route. Google maps suggested him complete details of from which bus stop you should take bus, and how to reach next bust stop by walk and available bus details etc.,

  

     He told "Google maps is a Genius". I feel it’s a smart guide if we use effectively.

Worthy Tamil Channel Program for young generations

            Last Saturday I saw a Tamil Channel Live program.  I never seen a TV program this before . The pro-gramme name is "கண்டுபிடி கண்டுபிடி". This is a live telephone conversation pro-gramme.

            Pro-gramme concept: From television side they will be showing an experiment and they will be asking questions why this is happening?,how this is happenening etc.., The experiment is a result of an scientific reason.We should find the scientific reason and have to answer through telephone.

           If you tell correct answer the reward you will get from the TV channel is a Book. I hope this is the only Tamil channel giving Book as a gift, not only for this pro-gramme, also for their most of their pro-grammes. This is the another important reason I started watching this channel.

           We learned science in school days.But How many of us remember scientific concepts? and How many concepts we remember now? Why we forget ? Its because we failed to see those scientific events in our day to day life.

           Right now in our education we are asking our children to get good marks.We failed to ask questions to improve their thinking power.By questioning to the students(Viewers) this program makes students to think why its happening? So students will be able to give their own views by their individual thinking.

My humble request to all those reading this please suggest this TV pro-gramme to school children and also to teachers.This small effort will make a Big difference in our young future generations life.

Last few days I am realizing my life is my own choice. I had a doubt how can I choose my life?

We may had reasons to choose any option or make any decision in Life.
But the final option We are living is ours.

We may chosen any option because of others opinion,our own need or our like/dislike, But the option currently We live,because we agreed to live it. If We don't agree, We will be in another path of life.

We can like or dislike our current life.Once we realize Wherever,however our life now is our own choice,then we have control to choose our path.If we like we have power to continue, If we don't like it, we can choose another path.
